Frequently asked

How do I upload or import my media?

Head to the Starmaker Cover Downloader — paste a link, upload a file, or import from a supported source. Everything lands in your library instantly.

Can I convert audio and video?

Yes — pick any file, tap Convert, and choose your format. Converted files auto-organize in the Converted Files view.

How do I promote my StarMaker event?

Visit Community Events → Submit an Event. Fill in the details and, once approved, your event goes live at the top of the events page.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Use the Report a Problem or Feature Request tile above, or start a live chat with SMTV staff below.

Is SMTV Hub free to use?

Yes. Browsing episodes, voting in polls, watching covers, and using the cover downloader are all free. We may add optional features later, but the core experience stays free.

Do I need an account to watch or browse?

No. The public site is browse-only — no sign-up required to watch episodes, view events, or vote in fan polls.

How do I become a Deathmatch fighter or contestant?

Fill out the Volunteer form and mention that you'd like to compete. The SMTV crew reviews every application and reaches out with next steps.

How do I submit a cover for a Deathmatch fight?

Once you're cast in a matchup, SMTV will send you the Season 1 Cast Release Form and instructions for uploading your cover through the Starmaker Cover Downloader.

Why can't I download a file on my iPhone?

Safari on iOS handles downloads differently. When prompted, tap 'Download' in the system sheet — the file will save to Files → Downloads. If nothing happens, try again from Safari (not an in-app browser like Instagram or Facebook).

How do I delete something I submitted?

Message us through live chat or the contact form below with the details, and we'll remove it. You can request deletion of any contact form or volunteer submission at any time.

Can I advertise or sponsor SMTV?

Yes — pick 'Advertising' or 'Partnership' as your inquiry type in the message form below and we'll follow up with details.

How do I contact SMTV privately?

Use the live chat button below — messages route directly to SMTV staff. You can also email us. We do not publicly list a phone number.

Does SMTV Hub track me or run ads?

No third-party ad tracking. We only count aggregate visits (no IP, no fingerprint, no profile). Embedded YouTube players may set their own cookies under YouTube's policy.

How is my data protected?

Everything transmits over HTTPS. Database access is protected by row-level security policies that default to deny, and crew passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text).

Terms & Conditions and Privacy

This section is maintained by the SMTV team to answer common questions about how SMTV — StarMaker Television — handles your data, privacy, and security. It describes current, app-visible practices; it is editable project content, not an independent certification or audit.

Access & Authentication

  • The public site is browse-only. No account is required to read episodes, watch covers, vote in polls, or view fight cards.
  • The production / host area at /trivia is restricted to SMTV crew. It requires a crew username and password, validated server-side, and uses a signed HTTP-only session cookie.
  • Crew credentials are stored hashed (bcrypt-style) — plain passwords are never stored or logged.

Data We Collect

  • Contact form & volunteer applications — name, email, and the information you choose to submit, used only to reply to your inquiry.
  • Poll votes — an anonymous vote counter per option. Votes aren't linked back to an identifiable visitor.
  • Visit counters — aggregate page / site visit totals (no IP, no device fingerprint, no profile).

Platform & Hosting

SMTV is built on the Lovable platform. The frontend is delivered through Lovable's managed hosting; the backend (database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions) is provided by Lovable Cloud. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and database access is protected by row-level security policies that default to deny.

Third-Party Services

  • YouTube embeds for episode and cover playback.
  • Google Drive (host-managed) for storing cover-submission audio.
  • Lovable AI Gateway for generating draft fight scripts in the production area.
  • WhatsApp — the Live Chat button opens a WhatsApp conversation on your own device only when you tap Send.

Embedded players may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Reporting a Security Concern

If you believe you've found a security issue with SMTV, use the live chat above or the message form and include "Security" in the subject line. We review every report.

Your Choices

  • You can request deletion of anything you've submitted (contact form, volunteer application) by messaging SMTV through live chat or email.
  • You are not required to create an account to use SMTV, and we do not run third-party ad-tracking on the site.
Shared responsibility: Lovable provides the underlying platform (hosting, database, auth, transport encryption). The SMTV team is responsible for the application configuration, content, and access controls described above. Statements here are not a certification, audit opinion, or legal guarantee, and do not claim compliance with any specific framework (SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) unless explicitly stated by name.
